Music not only anchors my vibration with its transcendental tones; it is the mechanism of tasting and touching the beauty, radiance and perplexity of my Soul. Creating music is the poetry of existence because it allows me to play an orchestra of melodies that expand my identity while expressing deeply powerful reverence for the multicultural influences of my heritage as an Indigenous and Black Woman born and raised in the concrete jungles of urban environments. My music is a collage of paintings that pour glimpses of mosaics, stained glass, mixed media textiles, oil on canvas into the ears and hearts of listeners, rich with an authenticity of flavors and colors that form its own genre. In love with the voices and arrangements of gifted beings, the likes of Bob Marley, Fela, Lauryn Hill, etc, my music celebrates the essence of oracles, storytellers who dive deep into the dreams of their remembrance that something more exists beyond our lovely appearances, that something is energy.
